Tufted Hairgrass is by far a favorite native grass here at the farm.

A cool season semi-evergreen grass deep emerald blades growing in sweeping mounds 1’ high. In late Summer, they send up 3’ stems tipped with delicate flowers that look like clouds swaying in the breeze. Grouped in 3s Tufted Hairgrass makes for a stunning view in the garden.

Excellent choice for Winter interest and a natural bird feeder too!
