Seed pods are lovely Winter interest & in dried arrangements too but leave most for overwintering birds

Hibiscus moscheutos DEETS:

  • Full to Part Sun

  • Wet to average soils

  • 3-7’ tall with 4-9’ spacing (Full sun & moist locations = taller shrubs/more blooms)

  • Nectar draws native bees & hummingbirds

  • Host species to butterflies & moths like Common Checkered Skipper, Gray Hairstreak, & Painted Lady butterflies
