Phlox maculata is a phlox with many names; Wild Sweet William, Spotted Phlox or Meadow Phlox. Reaching up to 3’ Meadow Phlox will reseed to form small colorful colonies of beautiful pink flowers… 

Phlox maculata attracts hummers & native bees to your garden. Dark green leaves with fragrant dusky-pink flowers on tall stems attract many pollinators from June through September. 

Plant Profile: 

Enjoys cool & moist ‘feet’ and is often found in wet meadows and stream banks. 

Loves to bask in full sunshine

Needs to be surrounded by deer/rabbit resistant native plants such as Foxglove Penstemon and Great Blue Lobelia.

**note Phlox maculata is more resistant to powdery mildew than her ‘siblings’. Provide ample spacing of 24” between plants in locations with good air flow & ample sunshine. Water at ground level not on flowers & leaves.
