Rubus odoratus~ sometimes called Thimbleberry is a thornless edible native raspberry perfect fo home gardens

  • Large rose-like bright purple to pink flowers in June are favorite of many native bees

  • Foliage of deep to light green in 'maple-leaf' shape for an ground cover or over a fence during the Summer. In Autumn leaves turn a brilliant yellow!

  • Flowers feed hummingbirds and fruit feeds other birds in late Summer to early Autumn

** We have 3 Rubus odoratus plants growing over our vintage bedpost in the garden; you may have seen the hummingbirds stopping there for a 'snack'!

PLANT DEETS:

  • Enjoys Part Shade to Full Sun

  • Average to moist well drained soils

  • Grows 3-6’ tall and wide

  • Provides nesting material for many native bees!! (Wildflower.org)
