I first met Silky Dogwood on a crisp late Autumn day while walking along Oneida Lake. Birds feasting on the berries is the sound is what caught my attention. And well I’ve been infatuated with this native shrub ever since!
SHRUB DEETS:
Grows up to 12’ tall and wide forming an amazing thicket for birds and other wildlife to shelter in every season!
Blooms clusters of showy white to yellow flowers for Spring pollinators in May thru June
Prefers full sun to part shade~ fruiting more in full sun.
Thrives in medium to wet well draining soils~ tolerates intermediate flooding. Excellent for rain gardens and hedges.
Deer and rabbit resistent but give young plants protection for the first year or two.
Grown for you by White Oak Nursery in 5×8 tree pot
Reserve your shrub before September 5 for pickup up at our private ‘Early Bird Party’ on September 12
