Gardening with Native Plants Workshops

March thru October, Laura Shaddak a Landscape Architect and owner of Downstream Design will be hosting a very special gardening series here at the farm!

Laura specializes in ‘designing and managing landscapes with native and edible plants to support biodiversity, people’s health, and mitigate climate change.’

Yeah— this is a special opportunity to learn how to design a garden that is also beautiful eco-system!

Hands-on workshops begin in March and end in October. Each session is 1.5-2 hours long with light refreshments served.

Registration for the entire series is $50.

Nursery Opens for the Season!

While Nature decides when we open for the season, we’re taking a chance on April 25th rain, snow or shine!

Every week thru June 28th we’ll have more and more native plants on the benches along with:

  • habitat gardening workshops

  • vintage barn sales

  • and of course fresh flower bouquets & DIY flower buckets for your Spring events!

We are Central New York’s only plastic-free & peat-free plant nursery!

Spring Bird Watching

Bring your binoculars & join us in the gardens for a morning of bird watching!

Drop in any time between 6:30am and 10am Thursday May 7th to identify and document the birds that call our 4 acre farm home!

As always children and happy adults are always welcome to our farm and all events. Please leave dogs at home! See ‘Farm Rules’ before your visit!

Event is weather permitting! The birds are out in all kinds of weather but a cold rainy day isn’t much fun!

Every 3rd Tuesday of the month, garden friends old and new gather to share our love of gardening and wildlife.

Gatherings are held 'hybrid' with in person circles live streamed via Zoom!

Our informal chats are for anyone interested in gardening for wildlife, their homes and community. All experience levels from rookies to master gardeners are welcome.

Scents of evergreens, cinnamon & hot cocoa waft in the air. Twinkle lights glow as I create Holiday decorations without any plastics, metals or foam.

Gnomes, wreaths, garlands, swags & more are what I love creating for your home & gift giving. Each is a unique design handcrafted with cheer and fresh evergreens, moss, plus dried flowers, fruits, berries & nuts.
