Join Laura Shaddak, Landscape Architect and owner of Downstream Design for a special gardening workshop here at the farm!

Laura specializes in ‘designing and managing landscapes with native and edible plants to support biodiversity, people’s health, and mitigate climate change.’ She’ll be sharing her knowledge with you in this series of hands-on workshops.

March thru October, participants will learn how to create, design, and care for a garden with native plants, pollinators and other wildlife.

Registration required! Cost is $50 for all 8 sessions.

Each session is 2 hours of hands-on garden experience with light refreshments provided.

A few more deets..

Spaces limited to allow an immersive gardening experience for all participants.

Participants should bring bug repellant and dress for gardening.

Garden tools such as spades and hoes are provided. You are welcome to bring your own hand tools. Upon arrival to the farm, we will ask you to help us prevent the spread of soil born disease and invasive species by dipping your tools into a sanitizing solution for every workshop.

Note on accessibility: Our farm does not have paved pathways but ground is graas at level from the front to the back fields. Portable bathroom is accessible. Those with mobility concerns should contact Melanie at 315-236-8592 to discuss plans to make your participation accessible and comfortable.
