Sometimes called Tall Tickseed, Coreopsis tripteris in drift of 3 or more plants full of yellow flowers is quite something to see~ and guaranteed to make you smile!

Plant facts:

  • native perennial

  • Rises up 3-9’ feet but enjoys 3’ of elbow room for dancing in the wind…

  • Blooms in full or partial sun late June into early September

  • Pollinator magnet & good cut flower~ Cut & dry seed heads in bunches to feed overwintering birds..

  • Deer resistant. Drought tolerant if planted in moist to medium dry soils. She will thrive in a hot spot in your garden with drink as needed.

Beloved by pollinators, the bright yellow daisy like flowers sway in the breeze making this native a perfect replacement for invasive cosmos.

Goldfinches and other birds find it irresistible. They seem to thrill at riding the stems in the breeze and will help you to spread the seeds for more plants the following Summer!
